Calculation happens in your browser. No account, automatic input saving or backend submission.

How to use this tool

  1. Count travel days and actual accommodation nights separately.
  2. Use one currency and a combined group nightly lodging cost.
  3. Enter daily spending per person and group one-off expenses.
  4. Choose an explained buffer, calculate and review each subtotal.

How the calculation works

Base = nights × group room cost + days × people × daily sum + one-off. Total = base × (1 + buffer / 100).

A practical example

Five days, four nights, two people; group lodging 80/night; per-person food 25, transport 10, activities 15/day; one-offs 200; buffer 10%: total 1,122.

Load example restores the illustrative inputs and calculates. Reset restores those input defaults and clears the result. When an input changes, calculate again before exporting so your saved record matches the current assumptions.

Common mistakes

  • Entering per-person room price as whole-group lodging.
  • Multiplying a prepaid ticket again through daily spending.
  • Treating the equal per-person estimate as an unequal-cost settlement.

Limitations and interpretation

Single currency and one nightly group accommodation rate. No live prices, unequal allocation, taxes unless entered or automatic currency conversion.

The result answers the stated calculation only. Check real bookings, provider rules and current route details separately where they affect your travel. Text exports are snapshots; the site does not synchronize or import saved results.

Frequently asked questions

Why are days and nights separate?

Overnight travel or same-day trips can make lodging nights differ from the calendar date span.

Can I use several currencies?

Convert your estimates to one currency first. The label does not convert inputs.

What does the reserve mean?

It is the selected percentage of base cost, shown separately; it is not a prediction of actual spending.
